This article focuses on Gus Fring, one of the main characters in AMC’s TV show Breaking Bad created by Vince Gilligan. This fascinating character appears to be a very special figure of the villain in a fiction. Variations in the narrative point of view and ellipses build up a mysterious character who becomes disturbing and at times frightening. Yet he gains depth and complexity as he is not only a narrative function but a real individual.
