Résumé :

The article starts with a description of a range of bad characters in films, from absolute evil to fragmentary, relative and excusable forms of evil. Bad behavior can be studied according to its status in the history of films (the 20th century) or along the axis of its functions in filmic stories (narrative structures). It will be assessed, punished, amended or redeemed, but it will also prove particularly useful for both narrative production and a clearer vision of the meaning of everyday life, since it seems much easier to define what is wrong than what should be right.
