Of the third place understood and accepted as such, it is its "cultural" character which will retain our attention with for thread the political question on the one hand and artistic on the other hand. The intention is to question us on this problematic triad: the cultural, the political and the artistic. The present text proposes to release a global criticism of the concept and its presuppositions by raising two useful notions in connection: the heritage and the vernacular.

Du tiers-lieu entendu et accepté comme tel, c’est son caractère « culturel » qui va retenir notre attention avec pour fil conducteur la question politique d’une part et artistique d’autre part. L’intention est de nous interroger sur cette triade problématique : le culturel, le politique et l’art. Le présent texte se propose de dégager une critique globale du concept et de ses présupposés en relevant deux notions utiles en rapport : le matrimoine et le vernaculaire.
