Résumé :
It is no wonder that V. Nabokov’s fiction should prove excellent material for any research addressing the question of the author’s voice and its presence or absence in his works. That a collection of interviews (Strong Opinions, 1973) should be seen in very much the same light may appear as more of a paradox. It is precisely this paradox that we try to explore in this paper which attempts to manifest and assess the peculiarities of Nabokov’s performances as an interviewee and the main characteristics of these surprising (and often misleading) texts. The main aim of this article is to demonstrate that Nabokov the interviewee plays the same games as Nabokov the writer and is actually no less complex. Reader beware…
