Cavell et ses critiques à propos de la signification et de l’usage
Résumé :
The author studies Stanley Cavell’s reading of Wittgenstein and Austin in The Claim of Reason, and shows how Cavell’s interpretation of the nature of the skeptical claim is quite often misunderstood by its readers. Such misunderstanding bears on all the recent discussions of skepticism in American philosophy, but also on the current philosophical understanding of what meaning, sense and nonsense consist in.
