This article aims to reflect on mental constitution from Melanie Klein’s case Dick, with special emphasis to the mechanisms of expulsion [Ausstossung], negation [Verneinung], and affirmation [Bejahung], described by Freud in “The Negation” [Die Verneinung] (1925). This effort was already made by Lacan in his Seminar 1, in the context of a debate with Jean Hyppolite. By returning to this topic we intend to cast light to the similarities and differences between the Kleinian and Lacanian theories. The problem of infantile diagnosis will also be considered in our demarche.

L'objectif de cet article est de penser la constitution subjective à partir du cas Dick, traité par Melanie Klein, en utilisant les mécanismes d’expulsion [Ausstossung], négation [Verneinung] et affirmation [Bejahung], décrits dans le texte freudien « La Négation » [Die Verneinung] (1925). Ce travail a été réalisé par Lacan dans le cadre de son Séminaire 1, suite à un échange avec Jean Hyppolite, et le reprendre ici permettra de montrer les rapprochements et divergences existants entre les théories psychanalytiques lacanienne et kleinienne. La question du diagnostic dans l'enfance est également soulevée par cette approche et sera abordée dans cet article.
