Unlike previous studies in the literature of the determinants of renewable energyconsumption, which consider one or some of these determinants separately. Thisstudy aims to provide a more global overview of the determinants of renewable energyconsumption by taking them into consideration simultaneously, to be able to comparetheir impact and rank them according to their importance. The considered potentialdeterminants are the financial development, social development, CO 2 emissions,institutional circumstances, economic growth, and trade openness.
